remember.gifAlthough the people you speak with cannot provide you with a diagnosis or a treatment plan, they can provide you with valuable information. Clinical Consultations will be advisory in nature and will offer the opportunity for students, teachers, counselors, and school administrators to ask questions about specific health-related needs or concerns. For example, a student or several students may have asthma and would like to explore better ways to control their condition.

consult.jpgA clinical consultation can be scheduled at designated times with an expert from East Carolina University. This expert can be a nurse, a physician or other professional, depending on the expressed concern. The student can confer with the ECU physician / health professional over the information highway about more detailed information on the condition. Forms will be available in your school to request a particular consultation. Once the consultation is scheduled, you will be notified of the date. Some consultations may be for groups and others, depending on the nature of the questions, may be private. Those decisions will be based on the request.
